Role Description

We are looking for a Project Survey Manager who brings vision, leadership and technical expertise to elevate all survey activities within a project to the highest level.

Your role: lead, coordinate, and drive progress.

• Lead all survey operations on your project.
• Set the strategy and define the approach.
• Lead a team of (senior) surveyors to ensure safe, accurate and efficient work.
• Ensure the right people and equipment are deployed at the right time.
• Ensure all systems are installed and functioning properly.
• Collect and interpret data, transforming it into valuable insights for the project team.
• Act as the central point of contact for all survey-related matters.
• Report clearly on progress and challenges.
• Guide your team in their development and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
• Supervise subcontracted survey work for quality.
• Prioritize safety throughout every step.

As an expat on one of our global projects, you will work within a different work regime, usually two months of 12-hour work days, six days a week, followed by one month off. This work regime may vary depending on the project. It is demanding work, but you will gain a wealth of knowledge and experience and during your month off, you are free to live life your way.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrography, Electronics, Geology, Land Surveying, Geography, Bio-Engineering or Topography.
• Proven leadership experience as a hydrographic or land surveyor.
• Ability to motivate and develop your team.
• Calm and decisive under pressure; takes initiative whenever needed.
• Effective planning and organization skills; sets clear priorities.
• Confident and clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Proactive in improving processes and driving innovation.
• Willingness to work on worldwide projects in a rotation system.
