Role Description

The Province requires a Project Manager (PM) to provide project delivery oversight and coordination across multiple concurrent, high-priority initiatives currently in progress. The successful resource must be capable of managing multiple streams of work simultaneously, maintaining strong vendor and stakeholder relationships, and ensuring deliverables are advanced in accordance with project timelines, governance expectations, and operational objectives.

The PM's time will be split between two key streams of activities:

• Cybersecurity (CYBER) Vulnerability Mitigation Program:
  • 50% allocation to continue work on the Legacy Server Remediation Project.
  • Critical end-of-life infrastructure remains active, including SQL Server 2012 and Windows 2008/2012 servers.
  • Windows 2016 servers must be remediated before January 2027.
  • Efforts are essential to reducing legacy risk exposure.
  • Maintaining continuity in project leadership is essential for stable execution and effective risk management.
• SharePoint Online (SPO) Migration Management:
  • Majority of migrations completed; remaining work is complex and resource-intensive.
  • Coordinate ministries, manage approvals, resolve ownership and migration issues.
  • Monitor delivery and mitigate risks to ensure successful project completion.

The PM will provide continuity, utilize established knowledge and relationships, and experienced oversight across these interdependent workstreams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder relationship management skills.
• Experience with IT project delivery, particularly in cybersecurity and SharePoint migrations.
• Ability to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously.

Requirements

• Overall responsibility for coordinating and delivering IT projects from initiation through completion.
• Compile project charters, business/project plans, and other relevant documentation.
• Manage projects that include documenting business requirements and designing IT solutions.
• Produce and package deliverables for presentation to various stakeholders.
• Document and report project status against established objectives, milestones, budget, and resources.
• Develop project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, and monitor work plans.
• Provide leadership and assistance to business and project teams requiring change management support.
