Role Description

At PwC, our people in project portfolio management focus on optimising project portfolios to drive strategic business outcomes. These individuals oversee project selection, prioritisation, and resource allocation to facilitate successful project delivery.

In project management at PwC, you will oversee and coordinate various projects to facilitate successful delivery within budget and timeline. You will leverage strong organisational and communication skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support digitalization and transformation projects for clients across industries such as Commercial, Financial Services, and the Public Sector.
• Apply both agile and traditional project management approaches as well as modern digital PPM tools.
• Contribute to the Project Management Office (PMO) and help ensure transparency on progress, risks, dependencies, and budgets across projects, programs, and portfolios.
• Work with established methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2, or classic process models.
• Gain exposure to complex, large-scale projects across a variety of industries and grow professionally through targeted trainings and internationally recognized certifications.
• Become part of an international team, actively contributing to the growth of our PPM services and expanding your professional network within PwC.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed (or about to complete) studies in Business Administration/Economics, (Business) Information Technology, (Industrial) Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
• Ideally, gained some practical experience through internships, working student positions, or thesis work in the areas of project management, PMO, or consulting.
• Interest in project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2, PMI, IPMA) as well as digital PPM tools.
• Analytically and conceptually strong, work in a structured manner, and enjoy collaborating within a team.
• Strong communication skills and confident demeanor to engage with colleagues and clients on equal footing.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken (German at least C1 – this is a mandatory requirement for this role).
