Role Description

Lead planning, budgets, and site delivery while mentoring the next generation of Project Managers. Buildforth by Paradigm is hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of residential and mixed-use construction projects. This is a remote role with schedule flexibility based on project needs.

• Take full ownership of residential and mixed-use construction projects.
• Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and site coordination from pre-construction through completion.
• Mentor Junior Project Managers and report to the Director of Projects.
• Regular travel to active project sites and offices throughout British Columbia and Alberta.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
• Proven ability to manage complex contracts and permitting processes.
• Experience leading projects in remote or out-of-town locations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Requirements

• Lead all phases of project delivery, from pre-construction through final completion.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and subcontracts.
• Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor milestones, critical paths, and deliverables to keep projects on track.
• Direct site teams, subcontractors, and consultants, maintaining a regular presence on active job sites.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams.
• Mentor Junior Project Managers and project team members.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review and approve invoices, change orders, and progress claims.
• Support value engineering initiatives and strategic purchasing decisions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
• Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.
