Role Description

We're looking for a Project Engineer for our client, a managed IT services provider (MSP) based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, focused on keeping their clients' technology running smoothly while supporting their growth through infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and company integrations.

• Deliver IT infrastructure projects for small and medium-sized business clients, either independently or alongside other Project Engineers, depending on project size and complexity.
• Work across a wide range of project types:
  • Network refreshes
  • Server refreshes and consolidations
  • On-prem to cloud migrations (Azure/AWS)
  • Microsoft 365 administration and deployment
  • VOIP phone system implementations
  • Conference room setups
• Support infrastructure integrations tied to client growth, including mergers, acquisitions, and new locations.
• Review and validate project scope alongside the Project Design Desk and other Project Engineers.
• Keep daily time entries and status reporting up to date, and check in regularly with the Project Manager.
• Create and update technical documentation during and after each project.
• Provide ad hoc support and mentoring to more junior technical resources when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an infrastructure (not application) IT support role, including experience delivering full projects independently or in a lead capacity.
• Broad, hands-on experience across networking, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS), not limited to a single specialty.
• Comfortable managing several concurrent projects across different clients at once.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working directly with clients.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, able to ramp up quickly with minimal onboarding time.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Requirements

• Prior experience at a managed service provider (MSP), supporting multiple client environments.
• Experience with VOIP phone systems (e.g., RingCentral).
• Experience with process automation or scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with MSP tool stacks such as RMM platforms, PSA tools, or documentation management systems (e.g., ITGlue).
• Experience with Microsoft Intune or Power Automate.
