Role Description

This position oversees projects through from inception to completion while acting as a liaison between departments and the Athletic Creative Team to ensure accurate information is shared with the creative team and deadlines are met for the customer.

  • Ensure proper workflows by collaborating with Creative Director/Senior Producer/Executive Producer to oversee staff efforts.
  • Keep a catalog of services along with estimated work effort and cost for each package of tasks.
  • Ensure new events are entered into the enterprise workflow platform, assign tasks to necessary teams/individuals, and triage requests.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree, with a concentration in Communications preferred.
  • 4+ years in a related field preferred.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production practices.
  • Working knowledge of technical operations procedures and systems.
  • Proficient in broadcast technology.
  • Working familiarity with both academic and professional media environments.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with conflicting, delayed, ambiguous, or last-minute information.
  • Ability to clearly define issues and quickly generate solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to interact with and manage students.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities, provide oversight and support to the Athletic Creative Team while collaborating with direct managers for performance reviews and goal setting.

Working Conditions

  • The working environment is frequently changing.
  • Functions of this position often require working after normal business hours, and in some situations for prolonged shifts.
  • Some projects are completed in a climate-controlled office setting and others outdoors, accommodating rain when necessary.
  • Work from home may be encouraged or required at times.

Driving Requirements

  • Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position.
  • Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
