Role Description

The Operations and Engagement Specialist – nbn Local supports the effective delivery of the nbn Local operating model by overseeing operational governance, reporting, systems ownership, and emergency response coordination.

• Working closely with leadership and field teams to translate operational, financial, and activity data into accurate, executive-ready insights and trusted reporting.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving core systems and tools, driving automation and process efficiencies, and supporting capability development across field teams.
• Coordinates national initiatives, operational finance processes, and end-to-end event and emergency governance, enabling data-led decision-making in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a complex operational, reporting, systems, or enablement environment, ideally within a large or matrixed organisation.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Business application certifications (such as Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, SharePoint or Tableau) considered desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Well-developed communication, influencing, planning, and prioritisation skills.
