[Hiring] Head of Programme Management office (PMO) for HR Digital Transformation @World Food Programme

Role Description

The Programme Manager Officer (PMO) will support the development, implementation and related change management of initiatives shaped to support the advancement of people technology and analytics.

• Support the development, implementation and related change management of strategies and plans to advance people management technology and analytics.
• Apply in-depth understanding of WFP strategy and People Policy to support the development of tailored HR projects.
• Partner with senior managers and stakeholders to transform strategic and operational business objectives into pragmatic solutions.
• Develop and implement project/programme management standards, guidance and processes.
• Ensure that activities are continually monitored and findings are used for decision making and reporting.
• Provide advice, governance and oversight to projects within the Digital HR transformation portfolio.
• Apply knowledge of workforce data and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
• Gather data and perspectives to develop reports for executive management and stakeholders.
• Provide tailored guidance and support for the design and implementation of HR digital transformation projects.
• Support the development and coordination of organization-wide communication and change management.
• Ensure guidance is provided to Country Offices and Regional Bureaux regarding digital transformation initiatives.
• Maintain relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to align programme activities.
• Identify and build productive relationships with internal and external partners regarding HR digital transformation.
• Support the integration and application of new people management technology across corporate processes.
• Lead efforts to design and institutionalize learning and development initiatives.
• Manage a team of staff, providing expertise, coaching and guidance.
• Take responsibility for an equitable and inclusive workplace.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Public or Business Administration, Human Resources Management, International Relations Management or related fields.
• A minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in project management for complex transformation projects.
• Sound theoretical understanding of HR concepts and principles.
• Strong business acumen and commercial understanding.
• Experience managing a team.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management and ability to identify key issues.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of information.
• Exceptional presentation and executive management communication skills.
• Highly proficient skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience of Programme and project level financial management.

Requirements

• Fluency in oral and written English.
• Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or Portuguese).
