Role Description

As an Intermediate Environmental Project Manager in our Edmonton or remote Alberta, you’ll be responsible for assisting with multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies, and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $35.00 to $53.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

• Support simple to moderately complex site ARRM projects.
• Ensure internal communication and collaboration to facilitate delivery of high-quality products to meet our clients’ unique project needs.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal project teams across disciplines, including engineers, hydrogeologists, soil scientists, and ecologists.
• Communicate with clients and project-related stakeholders.
• Prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates.
• Function effectively within and contribute to the success of a collaborative team.
• Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and your career growth.
• Mentor and develop junior staff members.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, project management, or a related field.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ previous project management consulting experience.
• Project management experience in site assessment, reclamation, remediation, and monitoring ARRM projects in Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan would be considered an asset.
• Experience managing client relationships.
• Eligibility for registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization (e.g., AIA, ASET, APEGA) would be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with preparing technical reports, work plans, and cost estimates and scopes of work.
• Willingness to provide technical direction and mentorship to more junior professionals.
• A valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions.

Requirements

• Sitting, standing, and walking.
• Lifting 50 pounds several times a day.
• Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy, and windy conditions.
