This highly visible leadership role requires exceptional executive presence, business acumen, organizational discipline, and the ability to rapidly understand complex business operations, identify opportunities for improvement, establish executive priorities, and translate strategic objectives into executable transformation roadmaps. Success will be measured by delivering strategic initiatives while building a mature, scalable, and self-sustaining PMO that can be seamlessly transitioned to the client organization. This is a 9+ month remote role requiring up to 1–2 weeks of travel per month. Candidates must be able to work Central Time hours and be fully authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer. Please note that we do not work C2C.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Foster accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and execution discipline.
  • Provide executive leadership across multiple enterprise transformation programs, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop enterprise portfolio governance including executive steering committees, project intake, prioritization, stage gates, decision rights, and operating rhythms.
  • Lead enterprise process engineering and business process optimization initiatives that improve operational efficiency, governance, scalability, customer experience, and enterprise performance.
  • Drive cross-functional transformation initiatives spanning Order-to-Cash (O2C), ERP implementation, finance, operations, customer service, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, asset management, and supporting business functions.
  • Develop and execute enterprise organizational change strategies including executive communications, stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, training, user adoption, and change reinforcement.
  • Establish executive dashboards, portfolio KPIs, financial reporting, and transformation health metrics.
  • Monitor budgets, schedules, scope, dependencies, enterprise risks, issues, and resource utilization while driving proactive mitigation.
  • Prepare executive presentations, Board materials, Steering Committee updates, and strategic communications.
  • Institutionalize PMO governance, methodologies, templates, standards, and best practices to create a sustainable enterprise capability.
  • Develop and execute a structured transition plan, including documentation, knowledge transfer, coaching, and operational readiness to enable the client organization to independently own and operate the PMO.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive Program Management, Portfolio Management, and/or PMO leadership experience leading complex enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Proven success establishing and operationalizing enterprise PMOs from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated leadership of enterprise-wide transformation programs involving multiple business units, executive stakeholders, and technology initiatives.
  • Experience within an Integration Management Office (IMO), mergers and acquisitions, enterprise integrations, or other strategic transformation environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading enterprise transformation initiatives within Oil & Gas, Energy Services, or Oilfield Equipment Manufacturing organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in process engineering, operational excellence, business process optimization, and enterprise transformation.
  • Proven Organizational Change Management leadership including executive communications, stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, training, and user adoption.
  • Exceptional executive presence, executive function, business acumen, facilitation, communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly visible, fast-paced environment characterized by ambiguity, competing priorities, aggressive timelines, and multiple concurrent strategic initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, Planview, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
  • Experience operating within SOX-compliant or regulated environments preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Prosci Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum, or related professional certifications are highly desirable.

Compensation

This is a 9+ month consulting opportunity with an annual salary range of $130,000-$160,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
