Role Description
This role involves leading a high-performing team of engineers to provide deep insights into their systems.
- Collaborate with design and product peers to develop impactful team strategies grounded in data and customer feedback.
- Frame projects and prioritization around business impact and user value.
- Lead with urgency and uphold high standards for the team.
- Build a respectful, high-achieving, inclusive culture on the team.
- Coach and mentor engineers to achieve business impact and grow their technical skills.
- Empower team members through effective communication and timely feedback.
- Develop thoughtful growth plans for each engineer aligned with their career goals.
- Gain a clear understanding of company priorities and communicate them to the team.
- Cultivate new ideas by ensuring the team has context and agency.
Qualifications
- Experience leading a high-performing team of engineers.
- Strong collaboration skills with product and design teams.
- Familiarity with triad-based collaboration and design thinking.
- Experience balancing priorities that complement or conflict with one another.
- Understanding of the value of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team.
- Experience in helping team members grow and build their career paths.
- Comfortable with the pace and trade-offs of a growth stage startup.
Requirements
- Ability to structure work around tight feedback loops with customers.
- Experience in managing and shipping cross-functional or multi-team projects.
- Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and tolerate uncertainty.
