Role Description
We are looking to hire an EAGx Program Lead to run our EAGx program. The EAGx program is a key part of our mission to build a community of students and professionals acting on EA principles, by nurturing high-quality discussion spaces.
- Lead and scale up the EAGx program.
- In 2025, run ~10 EAGx events, 5–10 EA Summits, and aim to welcome ~5,000 attendees.
- Aim for a 30–50% increase in attendees in 2026 (6,000–8,000) while maintaining focus on impact, professional event quality, and global reach.
- Help people familiar with EA concepts build their network and find high-impact jobs.
- Take ownership of the EAGx program, craft the strategy, steer execution, and build systems for scaling.
- Manage a team of EAGx coordinators across different regions.
Responsibilities
- Determine the strategy and scope of the EAGx program, including setting goals for 2026 and beyond.
- Manage at least two EAGx Coordinators; advise them on project management, people management, event strategy, and evaluation.
- Decide which EAGx events to support or scale up.
- Manage the budget for the program, including program revenue and additional fundraising if necessary.
- Review and analyze feedback from EAGx events to improve the program.
- Write updates about the program for the wider CEA team, stakeholders, and the EA community.
Qualifications
- Manage and implement projects effectively.
- Manage people thoughtfully and effectively.
- Have experience building or scaling projects.
- Have a strong understanding of EA community-building work.
- Love improving systems.
- Write clearly.
- Are able to juggle multiple tasks at once.
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements
- This is a full-time, remote position.
- Ability to work in time zones between US Pacific Time and CET.
- Willingness to travel 5–10 times annually, including international trips.
Compensation
- US: total compensation package of $128,143-$152,849, comprising a base salary of $116,494-$138,954 and a 10% unconditional 401k contribution.
- UK: total compensation package of £76,275-£90,981, comprising a base salary of £69,341-£82,710 and a 10% pension contribution.
- Compensation and role title depend on experience and expertise.
