Role Description
The Director of Field Operations will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects varying in size, complexity, and market sectors from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement strategic plans
- Manage resources effectively
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Manage a team of project management professionals
- Serve as a mentor, leader, motivator, and coach
- Ensure quality work is delivered on time and within budget
Qualifications
- 15 years of construction experience managing and delivering end-to-end construction projects
- 10 years of experience managing people
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, Business Administration or relevant major preferred
- Mixed-use, Multifamily, Student Housing, or Hospitality Experience is required
- Scheduling & Job Cost software experience preferred (Primavera/P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Prolog, etc.)
Requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to manage a geographically dispersed team effectively
Work Environment
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
- May require travel to project sites as needed
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms
- Climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- May infrequently drive a vehicle or be subject to air travel for purposes of Company business
