[Hiring] Delivery Leader @CDM Smith

Role Description

Seeking highly qualified program/project management professional to lead and expand our existing federal construction portfolio in the Indo-Pacific Region. As a global full-service firm, CDM Smith has been serving the US Government for over 40 years and holds multiple contract vehicles for vertical and horizontal construction projects. This candidate will foster growth in these programs through development of strategies to pre-position, bid, win, and execute new projects.

As Delivery Leader / Program Manager, you will:

• Develop pursuit strategies, including teaming partners, bidding tactics, and resources required to successfully deliver projects in highly complex and remote islands in the Indo-Pacific.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard engineering or construction techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Create project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects using experience in executing work in difficult locations.
• Prepare detailed statements of work with associated work breakdown structures and gain concurrence and approval from internal and external stakeholders regarding various project aspects.
• Assess potential project risk and outline risk mitigation solutions. Ensure adherence to company and project management policies, procedures, and practices.
• Manage project costs and ensure profitability. Identify, quantify, and communicate residual risk (time and cost).
• Perform ongoing review of project status. Monitor project risks; identify possible risks and recommend and implement risk mitigation solutions; escalate as appropriate.
• Work in conjunction with team members and internal and external stakeholders to manage changes to requirements and schedule of the project.
• Develop and implement project resource plan and manage the staffing of assigned projects.
• Determine and coordinate the proper staffing within the project including identification of outside resources needed (subs/vendors) and ensure procurement processes are followed.
• Build, maintain, and manage strong client relationships.
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering quality, on-time project outcomes as a result of good planning and organizational skills; manage client expectations.
• Work collaboratively with sales leaders to evaluate potential new work and support the scoping and costing effort.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Requirements

• Construction experience in the Pacific Region strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 50% annually within Hawaii, Guam, Greater Indo-Pacific Area.
