Role Description
We are looking for a Consulting Engagement Manager who has a passion for building a strong, long-lasting customer relationship to uncover growth opportunities and guide the customer through transformative technology advancements. As a team, you will help our clients make improvements to their performance and realize their most important goals by identifying, and oftentimes implementing, potential solutions for a specific challenge.
- Lead day-to-day execution of client projects while guiding and developing individual team members
- Own and lead client project work including gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses and developing recommendations for presentations to client management
- Lead the implementation of recommendations with the client team members
- Manage all aspects of a client project, by building and nurturing deep relationships with project stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor who understands their unique business objectives, processes and challenges, and leading the delivery of the identified solution
- Simplify and bring structure to ambiguous problems and take action to solve them by focusing on the most important challenges
- Actively identify and develop further opportunities within the client environment
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison between the customer and our internal teams, communicating effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders in a structured manner
- Deeply understand program success criteria and aligning the team on how to achieve it
- Lead the definition and deeply understand the work packages making up the solution and their contribution to success
- Translate gaps or risks into insights that anticipate customer needs and proactively suggest improvements or new solutions
- Monitor the progress of customer engagements along with the project manager
- Act as the voice of the customer, providing insight to internal teams to improve products, services and processes
- Build and maintain program roadmaps
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience as a consultant in a professional services firm; work experience in the Big 4 Consulting firm is preferred
- Ability to take business problems and create strong business case solutions, using technology
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
- Proactive mindset with a passion for uncovering new opportunities and driving continuous improvement
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
- Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
- Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations within a client environment
- Experience in business consulting and analysis: Agile Theory, Business Process Analysis, Procedure Development, Requirements Gathering
- Experience in project management
Location
Our head office is in Vancouver, but this is a remote work from home role, with the ability to work anywhere in Canada.
Type
Full-Time Permanent (40 hours per week, 8:30am – 5:00pm in your own timezone)
Salary
Salary range is: CAD $90,000 - $175,000 per year. The BC government requires a salary range and ultimately, we will base the salary on the candidate's skills, experience and organizational fit.
