Role Description

Join Amgen’s Mission of Serving Patients. The Associate Strategic Planning and Operations (SP&O) is responsible for supporting Global Development Business Operations and working closely with other SP&O team members, key stakeholders, and various levels of management.

• Business Process Support for the Medical Material Review Process, Development Council and other governance to ensure smooth operations, compliance and overall process health.
• Various ongoing business support to include but are not limited to:
  • Project management assistance which may include chartering, facilitation, presenting, and deliverable development within the project timelines.
  • Organization, scheduling and operational excellence for governance and SPO Operations.
  • Global Development Contracts Subject Matter Expert and Support.
  • TA Budget management assistance.
  • SharePoint design/maintenance.
  • Administrative support, Calendaring, meeting support and planning.
  • Develop and/or manage department documents (e.g. onboarding guides, etc.).

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of project/business management experience
  • OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of project/business management experience
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of strong project/business management experience.
  • Reliable/dependable team player with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint.
  • Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet and database design is helpful.
  • Project a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and eagerly contribute to all initiatives as needed and requested.
