Role Description

A Treasury Management Product Manager II is responsible for the research, design, development, and delivery of new value-added products to augment and enhance product lines, improve competitive position, and increase revenues while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and rules. This role requires strategic thinking and process-oriented skills, with a focus on managing projects effectively.

• Ideate and develop compelling products for Flagstar’s retail and wholesale clients.
• Oversee product metrics, launches, and product performance to ensure success against product goals and expectations.
• Ensure continuous improvement in the product and compliance with market needs.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and competition.
• Manage the product lifecycle from conception to launch.
• Work closely with the MIS/Data science team to translate business requirements.
• Identify product opportunities and gaps for the organization.
• Develop, maintain, and own product roadmap balancing strategic objectives, capital investments, differentiation, customer experience, compliance, and sales needs.
• Develop trusted partnerships within the enterprise and lead a matrix team.
• Play a lead role in marketing products and ensure proper training and education on product positioning.
• Analyze and resolve problems using independent judgment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
• 4+ Years of experience in researching, designing, developing, and/or delivering new value-added products in payments, banking, or FinTech industry.
• Experience developing and driving product strategy or sales.
• Experience gathering and transforming customer and business needs into an actionable product roadmap.
• Experience creating product artifacts, including market research summaries and competitive analyses.
• Experience with digital product development and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent) preferred.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and/or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Wholesale receivables/payables solutions expertise.
• Strong attention-to-detail and project management skills.
• Ability to foster internal and external collaborative partnerships.
• Demonstrated growth of knowledge in treasury management products and services.
• Expertise in business cash flows, accounting processes, and financial optimization.
• Understanding of banking regulations such as UCC, Reg CC, and Reg E.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
• 75% travel to client offices, prospects, and branches is required.
