[Hiring] Senior Product Operations Manager @LiveKit

Role Description

We're looking for our first Product Operations Manager. Our product team is small, senior, and growing fast, with each PM coming in to establish the foundations of a new part of the business. As the team grows, the work that connects it needs an owner.

This role is that owner. Your customers are the PMs and the head of product, and your job is to make them faster and better at what they do. You won't be inheriting a process manual or enforcing one. You'll be designing how a product team works at the moment it goes from a handful of people to a real organization, inside an engineering culture that values autonomy and only adopts what makes people's lives easier.

You'll Thrive Here If You:

• See the people you support as customers, and start from their problems rather than from a framework.
• Like building systems from scratch more than maintaining them.
• Would rather remove a meeting than add one.
• Write clearly and enjoy making complicated things legible.
• Are a fast learner, frequently picking up new tools and techniques, including AI.

The best way to impress us is by trying LiveKit's product, understanding how we work, and bringing smart thoughts and opinions to the table.

What You'll Do

• Run the product team's operating cadence.
• Own the roadmap as a system.
• Make goals and progress visible.
• Keep the product development playbook.
• Run the customer insight engine.
• Grow the craft of the PM team.
• Choose and run the team's tools.
• Be a partner in running the product org.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience, with at least 3 in product operations or a closely related role (chief of staff to a product leader, product program management, product strategy and operations) supporting a product team.
• You've built it before.
• A force multiplier.
• A strong writer.
• Data fluent.
• Technical enough for a developer company.
• Influence without authority.
• AI-native.

Nice to Have

• Product operations experience at a developer tools, API, infrastructure, or AI company.
• Ran quarterly planning or OKRs for a product organization.
• Built a research repository or a customer recruiting program for B2B research.
• Built a PM onboarding program or career ladder.
• Worked with go-to-market teams on launch readiness and product stage definitions.
• Experience as a product manager.

Benefits

• An opportunity to build something truly impactful to the world.
• Contribute to open source alongside world-class engineers.
• Competitive salary and equity package.
• Health, dental, and vision benefits.
• Flexible vacation policy.
