Role Description
Own the MetaMask transaction experience and monetization strategy, including Smart Transactions and Gas Station.
As product manager for the Transactions team, you’ll lead transaction optimization across all MetaMask experiences and platforms. You’ll maximize success rates and MEV protection; enable users to pay gas with any token; and make the transaction experience as seamless as possible. You’ll work with engineers, analysts, researchers, and designers to expand our existing transaction optimization features while defining an ambitious and compelling long-term vision: how to make it simpler and safer for end-users to transact in MetaMask.
- MetaMask is the most trusted wallet in the Ethereum ecosystem with over 30 million monthly active users.
- Over 32 million transactions have been protected from reverts and MEV through MetaMask Smart Transactions since May 2024.
- Gas Station just launched for Swaps on Ethereum in January 2025, unblocking over 100k Swap transactions.
- MetaMask Transactions are highly technical and require a solid grasp of different blockchain primitives.
Responsibilities
- Define vision, strategy, and roadmap, working closely with engineers, designers, analysts, data scientists, researchers.
- Design and deliver products that advance the MetaMask mission.
- Research user problems and stay ahead of market developments in the Web3 ecosystem.
- Drive adoption of crypto-first product features, working closely with various teams across the DeFi ecosystem.
- Shape and define standards for building great consumer products, educate our product teams, and hold the bar across the company.
- Grow and lead the work of a cross functional team (user research, data analytics, technical writing, front end, and API developers) to be user focused, discovery led, and data driven as the consumer’s advocate.
Qualifications
- A passion for crypto/DeFi and Fintech, open platforms, and equal financial opportunity.
- 5+ years of product management experience, driving consumer products from discovery to launch.
- 2+ years experience working in the Web3 space and familiarity with the DeFi ecosystem.
Bonus Points For
- Experience working with MEV, order flow auctions, or gas abstraction.
- Hands-on technical experience in smart contract and/or backend development.
Salary Range
$155,000 — $210,000 USD
