Role Description
The SAFe Product Owner will operate as part of an agile team to oversee the delivery of value to customers from start to finish in accordance with customers’ needs and requirements.

Align Team Backlogs with the needs of Customers, Business Owners, Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Stakeholders.

Serve as the team’s primary customer advocate and conduit between business and technology.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline (Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field).

In lieu of degree, five (5) years’ relevant experience will be considered.

SAFe Agilist (SA) OR SAFe Practitioner (SP) Certification preferred; required within one year.

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in roles such as Product Owner, Product Manager, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience supporting teams in end-to-end implementation.

Basic working knowledge and experience using Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe.

Basic understanding of market rhythms, events, opportunities, threats, and changing regulations.

Responsibilities
-
Assist in the design of new projects and programs by evaluating current practices and conferring with management to define scope of work, purpose, goals and objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for implementation.

Assist with developing test scripts, executing test plans, and maintaining test cases to assess system functionality and ensure user acceptance testing.

Collaborate with various internal departments, analysts, development teams, external customers, and leadership to obtain cross-functional team consensus on the interpretation of business requirements and needs.

Develop enterprise business solution systems requirement documents and technical specification documents for applications.

Conduct training of new procedures, system modifications, and system releases upon request.

Integrate data from multiple data sources or functional areas, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and update data as needed to develop statistics and design methodologies for decision making and new business initiatives.

Perform root-cause analysis and audits to verify workflow and identify process improvements.

Prepare reports and data delivery by analyzing and summarizing information and trends to make recommendations regarding system changes.

Serve as a technical resource to guide the research, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of new enterprise business solution systems and enhancement of existing systems to meet business needs.

Serve as project lead on small to medium scale projects.
