This role applies strong product judgment, data‑informed decision‑making, and AI‑enabled insights to solve complex problems and optimize product performance. The Senior Product Manager serves as a trusted product leader and prepares the incumbent for Lead or Principal Product roles.

Key Responsibilities

    • Translate company and portfolio strategy into clear product direction and prioritized initiatives.
    • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities that balance customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
    • Understand competitive landscape and ensure products are differentiated and aligned with PlanSource’s mission.
  • Advanced Product Discovery & Problem Solving:
    • Lead end‑to‑end product discovery using established frameworks (e.g., opportunity‑solution trees, design sprints, experimentation).
    • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs—including user research, client advisory feedback, support data, and market analysis—into clear product decisions.
    • Define success metrics, hypotheses, and learning plans to guide solution development.
    • Leverage AI tools to accelerate discovery by synthesizing research, identifying behavioral patterns, and supporting scenario analysis, while applying critical judgment and validation.
  • Product Delivery & Execution Leadership:
    • Partner closely with engineering and design leads in an agile environment to deliver high‑quality, scalable product outcomes.
    • Own backlog prioritization, sequencing, and trade‑off decisions to maximize impact.
    • Define clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for complex features and initiatives.
    • Partner with release management and operations to ensure smooth launches, adoption, and post‑release evaluation.
  • Data, Metrics & AI-Enabled Insight:
    • Define, monitor, and analyze product performance metrics to assess outcomes and inform iteration.
    • Use data to evaluate product success, uncover risks, and guide prioritization decisions.
    • Apply AI‑enabled analytics tools to support trend analysis, experimentation insights, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring outputs are reviewed and responsibly applied.
    • Translate insights into clear recommendations and narratives for stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence:
    • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Client Management, Operations, and Business Operations to align on product value and go‑to‑market strategy.
    • Influence stakeholders across the organization through clear communication, strong reasoning, and product expertise.
    • Communicate product strategy, progress, and outcomes to executive, technical, and non‑technical audiences.
    • Serve as a role model for strong product thinking, collaboration, and ownership.
  • Process, Quality & Continuous Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve product development processes, discovery practices, and documentation standards.
    • Use AI tools to support backlog refinement, documentation, and synthesis of inputs where appropriate, while retaining accountability for decisions.
    • Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and outcome‑driven delivery.
    • Uphold and model PlanSource values, including curiosity, urgency, reliability, and service.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Design, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of product management or related experience.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data and metrics.
  • Proficiency with product tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Effective and responsible use of AI tools to enhance discovery, analysis, and productivity.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
