[Hiring] Senior Product Manager @Tapcheck

Role Description

This is a remote-friendly role. Ideally, candidates will sit in the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MA, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OR, OH, PA, RI, SC, TX, VA, WA, WI.

Tapcheck moves real money to hourly workers every day — across bank rails and card rails, inside cutoff windows, at volumes that grow every quarter. We're hiring a Senior Product Manager who knows payments at the settlement level and builds like a platform engineer thinks.

• Own money movement end to end — bank payment types, payroll card program, and payout experiences.
• Write the requirements yourself and work embedded with engineering through delivery.
• Work with real ambiguity and decide with partial information.
• Build alignment with Finance, Legal, Payment Operations, Engineering, and external partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management.
• 5+ years building payments or financial infrastructure product.
• Under-the-hood knowledge of how funds settle across ACH, RTP, wires, and card rails.
• Experience with live bank payment integrations, including return and exception handling.
• Ability to write detailed requirements for payment systems.
• Experience scaling payment systems through significant volume growth.
• Experience designing and running A/B tests.
• Strong technical fluency and ability to read API contracts and data models.

Requirements

• Experience with Earned Wage Access, payroll, or on-demand pay.
• Background in card issuing or payroll card programs.
• Experience in treasury, ledger, reconciliation, or cash management products.
• SQL or scripting self-sufficiency.
• Familiarity with compliance regulations such as Reg E and NACHA operating rules.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
