Role Description

This position is responsible for leading and developing a team while driving cross-functional collaboration to support the development, execution, and ongoing management of Medicare Advantage product and bid strategies. Serving as a subject matter expert throughout the product lifecycle, this role:

• Evaluates product performance
• Conducts competitive and strategic market analysis
• Develops innovative product and benefit strategies that support long-term growth and profitability
• Maintains constant awareness of industry trends, Medicare Advantage economic levers, and regulatory requirements
• Translates business strategy and market insights into actionable product roadmaps, benefit changes, and regional growth initiatives
• Oversees the successful execution and governance of the bid process

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 7 years experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting environment OR 11 years experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting
• Two years’ experience managing and leading teams with experience in hiring and training staff and managing a departmental budget
• Experience in managed care product development, benefits consulting or project management
• Experience working with corporate leadership, interfacing and communicating at all levels of the organization
• Experience managing multiple complex priorities and a heavy workload
• Organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Business or Health Administration (preferred)
• MBA or Masters Degree (preferred)
• Health care industry experience (preferred)
• 3+ years experience in Medicare Advantage Bid with an understanding of MA economics and bid requirements (preferred)
• Proven analytical and strategic abilities in decision making and problem solving (preferred)
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing stakeholder relationships (preferred)
• Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage Star Ratings and quality programs (preferred)
• Advanced Excel experience necessary (preferred)
