Role Description

This product management role within the Transfusion Medicine (TM) business unit is responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from defining its vision and strategy to ensuring its successful development, launch, and market performance.

  • Developing and validating new product requirements including features based on global customer needs, market insights and competitive frame to drive product differentiation and sales.
  • Developing marketing plans including market dynamics, competitive environment, customer segmentation, positioning and messaging, market potential, market share and forecast models for current products and products in development.
  • Developing and implementing launch plans for new product introductions.
  • Monitoring product performance in close collaboration with quality, compliance, and customer technical services and take lead in actions appropriate to ensure quality and availability of assigned products.
  • Travel up to 25% including airplane, automobile, or train – domestically and globally.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advance scientific degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in diagnostic marketing, product management or sales required
  • Experience working in both a regional and global marketing role
  • Global product launch experience hardware and software
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to drive prioritization of appropriate activities within competing priorities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to develop and give effective presentations
  • Personal ethics and integrity necessary with a style that embodies best practices and highest corporate values
  • Ability to travel up to 25% - domestic and international

Requirements

  • This position is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship
  • Knowledge of the transfusion medicine space from a manufacturing and/or blood bank customer perspective strongly preferred
  • Experience working within a transfusion medicine lab
  • Knowledge or experience with lean process/workflows

Work Environment

  • Hybrid office environment
  • Must have the discipline, organization skills, and self-motivation to work autonomously and collectively with internal team members that are office or remotely based
  • Travel up to 25% including airplane, automobile, or train
  • Some overnight travel is required
  • Some global travel required

Physical Demands

  • No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required
  • 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone
  • 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work
  • Minimal travel required

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $175,000 and is bonus eligible. The salary range takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data.
