Role Description

We’re looking for a Product Owner to join Ultimate Guitar and take ownership of the product experience across web and mobile. This is a key role for someone who loves combining product strategy, user experience, growth, data, and experimentation — and who is excited to lead a talented team while shaping the future of a product used by millions of music lovers around the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Ultimate Guitar website and app, focusing on strategy, user experience, and cross-platform consistency.
• Drive the strategic product roadmap for web and mobile platforms to improve traffic, user activation, and retention.
• Collaborate with Growth and Monetization teams to align product initiatives with business objectives.
• Own product documentation, maintaining requirements, feature descriptions, and hypotheses while ensuring team alignment.
• Enhance UX and UI through data-driven insights, user feedback, and continuous experimentation.
• Oversee the product life cycle from concept to release, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Take full ownership of product outcomes, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Foster a product mindset within the team by making customer-centric, data-informed decisions and continuously validating assumptions.
• Build a collaborative, peer-to-peer culture, encouraging knowledge sharing, curiosity, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Leverage AI tools and workflows to improve product discovery, decision-making, and execution efficiency.
• Manage a team of up to 13 members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager for high-traffic content platforms, handling large-scale entertainment or learning content, ideally with over 1 million daily active users.
• Proven experience in managing cross-platform products across web and mobile, ensuring consistency and seamless user experience.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong product mindset with the ability to balance user value, business impact, and execution.
• Solid understanding of market dynamics, user behavior, and customer needs.
• Experience using AI-powered tools to enhance product management processes, research, prioritization, and team productivity.
• Ability to work in a T-shaped environment, collaborating effectively across disciplines while contributing deep product expertise.
• Upper-intermediate or higher level of English.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Experience playing a musical instrument (no formal music theory knowledge required).
