Role Description
Under the leadership of a Director of Product Management, the product manager will contribute to the core accounting functions of our platform, including general ledger management, Fx functions, revenue recognition, and related financial reporting.
- Engage regularly with customers and prospects to understand their revenue management and accounting challenges and identify unmet customer needs and market opportunities using an outside-in approach
- Work with internal stakeholders to define product requirements and communicate them to the development team, using an inside-out approach to achieve business goals and meet customer needs in the billing space
- Collaborate with the Engineering and Design teams to develop and prioritize product features and enhancements for accounting-related products
- Assist in developing and executing product launch plans for accounting products, including sales enablement materials
- Monitor the product's performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize its success
Qualifications
- 4-year college degree in accounting or finance is strongly preferred
- Preferred: 2+ years of product management experience, specifically in revenue recognition, accounting, or a related field
- Well-versed in accounting principles, especially AR management and revenue recognition
- Hands-on experience with accounting & billing systems
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience leading or designing business processes for an accounting team
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive product decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to identify new opportunities for the product
- Self-driven and adaptable, able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
