[Hiring] Product Management Excellence Leader @Ingersoll Rand

Role Description

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Product Management Excellence Leader for its Precision Technologies (PT) business unit. This role will focus on:

• Designing the Product Management / NPD operating model.
• Coaching talent & building capability.
• Scaling product management excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Application Intelligence and Market Sizing:
  • Own standard work for VOC process and host trainings, drive team adherence and create centralized customer insight database.
  • Own and maintain AIM (applications, industries, markets) framework for PT overall.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to determine PT market share and identify gaps in regions/countries/markets.
  • Document scalable wins as references for sales and marketing and document product gaps as inputs to respective sub business unit product managers.
  • Own Ingersoll Rand Product Excellence (IRPX) gate process and strengthen business case approval process for NPD.
  • Drive excellence for PM and Engineering organizations through Stage-Gate process and deployment.
  • Strengthen gate review process for phase gates 1, 2, and 3.
  • Drive deliverables between the Ingersoll Rand Engineering & Technology Center (IRETC) and regional business unit Engineering teams.
  • Create structure to evaluate projects and deliverables executed by the IRETC.
  • Be the liaison with a team of ~50 Engineering resources located in India.
• IP strategy, product rationalization:
  • Identify intellectual property opportunities and technology blocks at TG1.
  • Create and deploy product rationalization framework.
  • Own product related cybersecurity review process.
  • Establish criteria for cyber security review process within IRPX gate process.
  • Create project plans for security mitigation and ensure on-time deliverables of product security related projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years leading teams and building PM capability through structured mentorship.
• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks, product discovery techniques, and metrics-driven execution.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions with a keen continuous improvement mindset.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive presence to champion organizational change.
• Strong project / program management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Preferred Qualifications

• Created and launched original, company-wide internal training academies or product management bootcamps.
• Managed transitions from legacy project-based delivery models to modern, outcomes-driven product operating models.
