Role Description
As a Principal Product Manager, GenAI at BetterHelp, you’ll join a diverse team of licensed clinicians, engineers, product pros, creatives, marketers, and business leaders who share a passion for expanding access to therapy.
In this role, you will:
- Work at the intersection of Product, Design, Legal, Compliance, Security, and Regulatory.
- Partner closely with engineering and legal/security teams to build features and drive innovation across our platform.
- Drive the product vision and roadmap for your area of responsibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data science) to execute on the roadmap.
- Leverage data and experimentation or user testing/research to improve product performance.
- Define and track key success metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to shape company strategy and product vision.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging technologies.
- Drive product governance and development processes to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in product management, with minimum 3 years leading complex product initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (CS, Eng, or Business); Master’s in a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of leveraging AI for client experiences, such as search, recommendations, apps, and content.
- Proven success in launching and scaling impactful D2C products, with experience in marketplaces and global operations.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to break down complex problems and align stakeholders.
- Expertise in A/B and multivariate testing, leveraging insights to drive product performance.
- Skilled in mentoring, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership.
- Strong technical acumen, SDLC knowledge, and a passion for tech trends and customer insight.
- Experience working on products at scale.
- Strong portfolio of launched products with demonstrable business impact.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development tools.
- Excellence in quantitative analysis and making data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a science-related field or MBA (bonus).
- Experience in the mental health industry or with AI (bonus).
- International product experience (bonus).
- Experience with product-led growth strategies or marketplace dynamics (bonus).
