2d ago - 32fd2dce-acde-405b-8949-f07aedc66ae5 is hiring a remote Principal Product Manager. πŸ’Έ Salary: usd 160,000 - 200,000 per year πŸ“Location: USA

Role Description

ASI is looking for a Principal Product Manager, Platform & Ecosystem to lead the product strategy for the shared capabilities that connect ASI’s software portfolio and enable customers, partners, and developers to extend it. This is a product leadership role focused on commercial outcomes, customer value, interoperability, and ecosystem adoption - not an engineering architecture or infrastructure management position.

The ideal candidate has delivered successful API and integration products and understands how shared platform investments translate into customer value and portfolio growth. Practical experience with AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), secure tool access, and emerging interoperability patterns is important. This leader will work closely with architects, product leaders, partners, and customers, owning product direction while Engineering owns implementation and technical architecture.

  • Defining a platform and ecosystem vision spanning APIs, integration services, developer experience, shared identity and authentication, extensibility, and AI-ready capabilities, with Model Context Protocol (MCP) as a core strategic priority.
  • Owning the product roadmap and business use cases for MCP-enabled access to ASI capabilities and data, including AI agent interoperability, secure tool and resource exposure, permissions, governance, and developer/partner adoption; partnering with Engineering on protocol implementation and architecture.
  • Prioritizing platform investments based on customer needs, partner demand, implementation friction, cross-sell enablement, and measurable business impact.
  • Partnering with Engineering architects and platform teams on technical feasibility, security, standards, reliability, and delivery; Engineering owns technical architecture.
  • Working with portfolio PMs to define shared capabilities that support iMIS, OpenWater, TopClass, Clowder, and integrations with third-party AMS and adjacent systems.
  • Building a clear developer and partner experience: documentation requirements, onboarding, API discoverability, versioning expectations, and integration lifecycle.
  • Defining platform metrics including API adoption, active integrations, partner activation, integration, implementation time, reliability, and portfolio attach-rate contribution.
  • Leading customer, partner, and internal discovery; building business cases and making pragmatic build, buy, and partner recommendations.
  • Coordinating with Strategic Partnerships, Security, Cloud/DevOps, Design, and product teams to establish a coherent ecosystem roadmap.
  • Performing other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including ownership of B2B SaaS platforms, APIs, developer products, or integration ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated success translating technical platform capabilities into customer adoption, partner value, or revenue outcomes.
  • Strong fluency in API products, identity concepts, integration patterns, developer experience, and enterprise SaaS interoperability.
  • Practical experience shipping AI-enabled platform integrations, agent/tool connectivity, with an understanding of secure data access, authorization, interoperability, and the evolving AI developer ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with MCP servers/clients, agent tool-use ecosystems, AI integration frameworks, or comparable emerging standards; ability to evaluate evolving approaches pragmatically.
  • Excellent prioritization and executive communication skills, including comfort balancing shared-platform needs across multiple product teams.
  • Ability to partner credibly with engineering architects without confusing product strategy with technical architecture ownership.
  • Experience in association technology, enterprise applications, CRM/AMS ecosystems, or acquired multi-product software portfolios.
  • Experience with partner marketplaces, integration hubs, iPaaS, or developer communities.

Benefits

  • Generous Paid Time Off
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • Healthcare Savings Account
  • Wellness Benefits
  • 401k Retirement Plan with Discretionary Match
  • Opportunities for Professional Growth and Development
  • Volunteer Time Off
  • Study Leave
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Hybrid Remote Work
