[Hiring] Manager, Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs @Azelis

Role Description

Responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of Azelis SHEQ/Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) for the applicable markets across the United States and Canada. Accountable for regulatory compliance, product stewardship, licensing and permitting, customer and supplier support, regulatory risk management, transportation compliance, and development of the PSRA team. Ensure the transactions of business units comply with the applicable regulations in force and be kept current on changes to regulations or related information. Must maintain efficient teams by ensuring that employees demonstrate the skills and attitude required to perform their duties to adequately meet the needs of Azelis. Communicate the needs of the SHEQ-PSRA team to the PSRA Director.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a chemical-related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as manager of a quality or regulatory department
• Minimum 3+ years of people leadership experience preferred
• Experience supporting chemical distribution, specialty chemicals, ingredients, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred
• Knowledge of US/Canada regulations for chemicals an asset
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
• Excellent time management and priority setting skills
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated ability in solving various issues
• Excellent ability to work in teams and manage staff in a dynamic environment
• Strong ability to adapt and evolve in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment
• Negotiation skills and political savvy to interact with various authorities as well as with employees
• Sense of ownership and drive: self-starter and problem solver who shows a bias for action, acts promptly to remove "roadblocks" and ensures accountability to get things done in a timely manner

Requirements

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
