[Hiring] Director of Product @LatamCent

1mth ago - LatamCent is hiring a remote Director of Product. πŸ’Έ Salary: $190,000 to $230,000 usd/year πŸ“Location: USA

Role Description

Our client is hiring a Director of Product to own two of the most critical product areas in its global payments platform: money movement infrastructure and identity.

You will work directly with the CTO and lead multiple engineering leads responsible for product areas across ramps and identity. This is a highly hands-on product leadership role with direct accountability for strategy, execution, delivery, and business outcomes.

  • On the ramps side, you will own how money enters and exits the platform across ACH, wires, SEPA, local payment rails, stablecoins, and crypto on/off-ramps.
  • You will be responsible for improving reliability, settlement speed, transaction economics, provider redundancy, and the overall customer experience of moving money.
  • On the identity side, you will own the product strategy for turning verified identity into reusable infrastructure.
  • This role is ideal for a senior fintech product leader who can move comfortably between product strategy, technical architecture, payments infrastructure, blockchain ecosystems, provider negotiations, data analysis, and people leadership.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including senior-level or product leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience owning business and product outcomes, not just managing backlogs or coordinating teams.
  • Experience leading engineers directly or leading through engineering leads.
  • Strong track record of shipping complex technical products through cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of the blockchain and crypto payments ecosystem.
  • Direct experience with crypto on/off-ramps and banking integrations.
  • Experience with Ethereum-based products, such as wallets, exchanges, payment infrastructure, ramps, or token-based products.
  • Experience with KYC, KYB, identity verification, or related trust and compliance products.
  • Strong understanding of payments infrastructure and money movement concepts.
  • Comfortable working with compliance, legal, and regulatory stakeholders, including discussing AML and financial crime requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to independently investigate product and funnel performance.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with engineers, executives, customers, banking partners, payment providers, and other external stakeholders.
  • High ownership, strong judgment, and the ability to make decisions in an environment with significant autonomy.
  • Experience working with technical architecture and understanding distributed systems, payment flows, reconciliation, reliability, and failure modes.

Requirements

  • Experience launching payment products or payment corridors across multiple countries or regions.
  • Experience working in regulated financial services environments, including MSBs, EMIs, licensed payments businesses, or other funds-handling organizations.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience independently analyzing product and funnel data.
  • Experience with fraud, risk, or financial crime products.
  • Experience building AI-powered workflows and using AI tools to improve research, analysis, product development, or operational execution.
  • Previous experience working with global or cross-border payments.

Success Indicators for the First 3–6 Months

  • Establish a clear product strategy and prioritized roadmap for ramps and identity.
  • Build strong operating relationships with the CTO, engineering leads, compliance, finance, operations, and key external providers.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of existing payment rails, providers, transaction economics, failure points, and reliability risks.
  • Identify and prioritize the highest-impact opportunities to improve deposit success, payout success, settlement times, and customer experience.
  • Establish clear ownership and operating rhythms across the engineering leads reporting into the role.
  • Improve visibility into key ramps metrics, including transaction costs, FX economics, success rates, and failure modes.
  • Define a practical strategy for provider redundancy and payment rail resilience.
  • Identify the highest-friction points in onboarding and verification and begin reducing unnecessary steps for returning or previously verified customers.
  • Establish the initial product direction for reusable identity, attestation, and federation capabilities.
  • Deliver meaningful product improvements or launches that demonstrate measurable progress in reliability, customer conversion, verification speed, or money movement economics.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Location: Remote from United States.
  • Working hours: Must maintain substantial overlap with U.S. business hours, particularly Eastern Time.
  • Employment type: Full-time, long-term.
  • Seniority: Director-level product leadership.
  • Compensation: $190,000 to $230,000 USD/ year.
  • Benefits: Flexible PTO and a results-focused work environment. Additional benefits may vary depending on the hiring arrangement.
  • Equity: Meaningful equity may be available.

Company Description

Our client is a global payments and payroll platform designed for modern, distributed teams. The company helps businesses pay full-time employees, contractors, and freelancers across borders using fiat and digital assets while managing the underlying payments, compliance, tax, and identity infrastructure.

This role offers the opportunity to directly shape two foundational areas of the platform while working closely with the CTO and influencing broader company strategy, partnerships, pricing, and future product expansion.
