[Hiring] Brokerage Services Product Manager @TradeStation

2mths ago - TradeStation is hiring a remote Brokerage Services Product Manager. 💸 Salary: $130-145k 📍Location: USA

Role Description

We are looking for an AI-forward Product Manager with experience in core brokerage systems, including middle office operations, order management, and post-trade workflows. This role is central to executing TradeStation’s platform modernization efforts, with a focus on delivering complex vendor integration programs and enhancing the core brokerage experience for customers.

The Product Manager will be comfortable operating within our Spec-Driven Development (SDD) process, using structured specs, epic decompositions, and acceptance criteria — paired with AI tooling — to translate business requirements into engineering-ready detail with precision and full requirements traceability.

This is a hands-on role working closely with Technology, Operations, Compliance, and external vendors to ensure our brokerage platform is modern, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as Product Manager across all areas of the brokerage product portfolio, moving fluidly between product areas to set direction, unblock delivery, and ensure initiatives ship with quality.
  • Play the product role on our middle office and OMS replacement project – partnering with Technology, Operations, Compliance, and external vendors to define requirements, sequence delivery, and drive the platform modernization effort to successful implementation.
  • Own and advance brokerage compliance and regulatory initiatives – translating regulatory and audit requirements into clear product requirements, and ensuring changes to brokerage systems and workflows meet US brokerage regulatory obligations.
  • Author and maintain structured specs — PRDs, epic decompositions, and acceptance criteria — within TradeStation’s Spec-Driven Development (SDD) process, ensuring full requirements traceability from business intake through engineering handoff.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate spec authoring, epic/story decomposition, gap analysis, and requirements coverage tracking.
  • Define and track KPIs for core brokerage product areas, including operational efficiency, customer experience, and platform stability.
  • Maintain and communicate product roadmaps with clear visibility across stakeholders.
  • Leverage AI and LLM tools to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and reduce operational complexity.
  • Engage with customers and internal teams to identify friction points and deliver solutions that improve the core trading experience.
  • Conduct competitive and industry research to stay ahead of technological trends and evolving customer expectations.
  • Develop detailed business requirements and partner with Engineering to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve business processes to drive scale, efficiency, and better customer outcomes.
  • Define and deliver measurable outcomes aligned to strategic objectives. Set KPIs for your product areas and drive performance using data and experimentation.
  • Own quarterly KPI reviews across product areas under management; ensure cross-functional teams are aligned to deliver against targets, and proactively course-correct where needed.

Qualifications

  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI-forward ways of working — not just tool literacy, but a mindset of using AI to move faster and with more rigor.
  • Comfortable operating in a Spec-Driven Development (SDD) process — writing and iterating on structured specs, epics, and acceptance criteria with full requirements traceability.
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted product tools for spec authoring, decomposition, and gap analysis.
  • Strong execution of product management responsibilities in an agile environment.
  • Experience with middle office systems, post-trade workflows, and brokerage operations.
  • Ability to define and track measurable outcomes aligned with business goals.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven product strategy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning in the Fintech space.
  • Experience working with back office vendors and Order Management Systems important.
  • Familiarity with US brokerage regulations and operational requirements.
  • Background in brokerage products, operations, and risk management.
  • Experience with industry vendors such as FIS (phase 3 and GMI), Exchanges, etc.
  • Experience working within a formal Spec-Driven Development process or similarly structured, AI-assisted requirements framework a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5+ years' experience as a product manager or product owner in the securities industry with a focus on retail trading products.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's/MBA a plus.
  • FINRA Certifications Series 7 and Series 3 a plus.

Benefits

  • Collaborative work environment.
  • Competitive Salaries.
  • Yearly bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits for you and your family starting Day 1.
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off.
  • Flexible working environment.
  • TradeStation Account employee benefits, as well as full access to trading education materials.
  • Pay Range (US) $130-145K (Countries outside of the US have differing ranges in accordance with local labor markets).
