Role Description

American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) is seeking an Application & AI Delivery Manager to join our Information Technology Operations department. The Application & AI Delivery Manager is a business-facing leadership role responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams. This role serves as the primary relationship owner and strategic advisor to business leaders, helping them identify, evaluate, and realize value from application, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that advance organizational objectives.

Acting as a trusted partner to the business, this role leads stakeholders through the full solution lifecycle—from discovery and intake through delivery, adoption, and measured outcomes. The role owns the enterprise application intake process and guides requests through evaluation, governance, planning, and delivery, ensuring solutions move efficiently from concept to implementation while meeting organizational requirements for security, privacy, compliance, vendor management, and responsible AI governance.

This is a hybrid business and technical role. While the primary orientation is toward business partnership and value realization, the Application & AI Delivery Manager must also bring direct hands-on experience building and deploying AI productivity tools and AI agents. The role continuously improves intake, review, and delivery processes to provide a clear, consistent path for bringing technology solutions into the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. If equivalent experience, a High School Diploma is required.
  • 5 years of experience in business relationship management, technology initiative leadership, product management, business analysis, or related disciplines required.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders and stakeholders to identify needs, shape solutions, and drive measurable business outcomes required.
  • 1-3 years of experience with enterprise application governance, vendor management, or technology portfolio management preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience leading AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives with measurable business impact preferred.
  • 1-3 years of familiarity with security, privacy, compliance, and risk management processes preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare or regulated industries preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Project Management, Product Management, or Business Analysis, or related professional certifications, preferred.
  • Proven ability to facilitate discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and cross-functional working sessions. (High proficiency)
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying AI productivity tools and AI agents in a business or enterprise context. (High proficiency)
  • Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams. (High proficiency)
  • Knowledge of application delivery lifecycles, governance processes, and technology implementation practices. (High proficiency)
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to balance business objectives, risk considerations, and delivery timelines. (High proficiency)

Requirements

  • Serve as the primary business relationship owner for application, automation, and AI initiatives, building trusted partnerships with business leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead discovery engagements—including facilitated sessions, workflow assessments, and requirements-gathering activities—to deeply understand operational challenges, strategic priorities, and technology needs.
  • Guide business teams in identifying and evaluating appropriate solutions, including existing enterprise capabilities, application enhancements, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on the introduction of new applications, emerging technologies, and AI capabilities into the organization.
  • Connect business stakeholders with application, AI, integration, data, infrastructure, and other technical teams to assess solution options and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define success criteria, adoption goals, key performance indicators, and expected business outcomes for each initiative before work begins.
  • Help develop business cases, expected outcomes, success measures, and implementation approaches for proposed solutions.
  • Facilitate the identification of baseline measures and value metrics that can be used to evaluate application, automation, and AI initiatives.
  • Work with business stakeholders to establish methods for measuring operational improvements, productivity gains, cost avoidance, risk reduction, user experience improvements, and other targeted outcomes.
  • Coordinate communication, training, and change management activities to support successful adoption of new solutions.
  • Monitor implementation outcomes and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and course correction.
  • Develop reporting and visibility into realized benefits, adoption trends, and business outcomes across the application and AI solution portfolio.
  • Recommend enhancements, process improvements, or additional capabilities based on measured results and evolving business needs.
  • Provide leadership with clear visibility into the value delivered by technology initiatives and the progress of business outcome measurements.
  • Own and continuously improve the enterprise application and AI intake process.
  • Serve as the primary entry point for business requests involving new applications, technology capabilities, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Evaluate incoming requests and determine the appropriate review path based on the nature of the request, associated risks, and organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate Application Governance, Vendor Oversight, Security Architecture Review, Legal, Privacy, Procurement, and AI governance activities as required.
  • Ensure reviews are appropriately scoped to the change or use case being introduced, balancing risk management with timely delivery.
  • Maintain intake standards, documentation, decision records, process metrics, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support the maintenance of the enterprise AI registry and application portfolio inventory.
  • Coordinate approved initiatives from intake through implementation, adoption, and transition to operational ownership.
  • Establish delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder commitments in partnership with business and technical teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration across business, engineering, architecture, security, infrastructure, vendor, and governance stakeholders.
  • Support testing, pilot activities, deployment readiness, go-live planning, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Track progress, remove obstacles, and escalate issues that may impact successful delivery.
  • Ensure clear ownership and accountability throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to improve intake, governance, and delivery processes.
