[Hiring] Workforce Operations Manager @Hire Overseas

Role Description

We're looking for a Workforce Operations Manager to own the people and output management side of a data labeling operation at a fast-moving AI company. This is a non-technical, pure operations role — you will not be building anything.

• Manage teams of 5 to 10 workers per project.
• Keep work output on track and handle the handoff of finished labeled outputs to the engineering team.
• Ideal background includes community management or people management experience.
• Strong people operator who knows how to manage output quality across a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a distributed workforce, community, or knowledge-worker team.
• Background in community management, workforce operations, or people management in an async remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to track multiple team members and project workstreams.
• Comfortable managing output quality without needing to understand technical details.
• Proactive communicator who surfaces issues early.
• Self-directed and reliable in a fully remote, async environment.

Requirements

• Manage team communications across async channels including Slack and email.
• Build a reliable, well-managed workforce that produces consistent quality output.
• Onboard new team members efficiently and ensure they understand expectations from day one.
• Surface recurring issues, feedback, and improvement opportunities to leadership.
