[Hiring] Operations Engineer @Lakeview Loan Servicing

Role Description

Lakeview IT is looking for a motivated Operations Engineer to support day-to-day operational activities, maintain system health, and assist in resolving technical issues across the enterprise. This role involves:

• Hands-on support, system monitoring, maintenance work, and troubleshooting.
• Maintaining stable operations by identifying issues early and correcting problems quickly.
• Contributing to process improvement.

This is a fully remote position that offers a competitive salary range of $84,000 to $100,000, plus an annual bonus. You'll also receive an excellent benefits package, which includes medical coverage starting on day one and a company-matched 401(k). Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other job-related factors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure high availability and proactively identify issues.
• Respond to alerts, incidents, and outages, serving as Incident Manager when needed.
• Perform troubleshooting across Windows servers, virtual desktops, cloud environments, and enterprise applications.
• Complete routine maintenance tasks such as system checks, patching, log reviews, and backup verification.
• Assist in the administration of servers, storage, network components, and cloud resources.
• Optimize the performance of on-prem and cloud systems using tools like New Relic.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, and other scripting languages.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for incidents, processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and storage.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent documentation habits.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with IT service management frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as Azure VDI.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as New Relic.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive expertise in the Windows operating system.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Experience working within IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
