[Hiring] Manager - Operations - Cash Management @Mashreq

Role Description

The incumbent is responsible to manage end to end processing of all Cash management services for corporate and clearing process.

• Ensure the smooth transition of process by providing training and expertise to all stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of all cash management transactions within defined TAT.
• Propose and implement improvements in the workflow of the Unit.
• Manage and coordinate with the onshore operations and technology team.
• Take immediate decisions on issues that arise given the tight cut-offs from the Central Bank and vendor services.
• Responsible for staff welfare, work-life balance, and training for staff in the unit.
• Manage and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), identify and escalate BOT-related issues, and monitor BOT performance to ensure operational efficiency and stability.

Key Result Areas:

• Emerge as the product expert for all relevant areas reporting to this position.
• Ensure that Bank’s Compliance and Regulatory procedures are followed.
• Provide adequate training (classroom and on the job) to staff to ensure all functions are performed with zero errors and within expected TATs.
• Collaborate closely with onshore Operations, Business, Technology, and Support teams for smooth execution of processes and timely issue resolution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for operational escalations and service-related concerns.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure equal distribution of workload among staff in consultation with unit manager.
• Analyze MIS collected for staff productivity and take actions to increase individual and unit productivity.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, controls, and customer experience.
• Recommend, implement, and monitor workflow enhancements and automation initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce manual intervention, operational risks, and turnaround times.
• Lead and support the successful transition of cash management processes by providing subject matter expertise and operational guidance.
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives for stakeholders and team members.
• Ensure process documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials remain updated and relevant.
• Create an atmosphere conducive to mutual cooperation among staff members and foster team spirit.
• Handle all inquiries and escalations and build healthy relationships with business and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely updating of all RCSA and KRI’s are reviewed and updated.
• Ensure unit attains satisfactory internal and external audit rating.
• Ensure that unit’s procedures are capable of controlling and minimizing operational risks.

Qualifications

• Graduate with 7 years of banking operations experience, with at least 5 years in cash management and clearing function.
• Awareness of Compliance/AML/Regulatory requirements.
• Good banking system skills and process understanding.
• Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal & communication skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
