[Hiring] Facilities Manager @United Smart Tech

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager with a strong background in project management to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and strategic development of our facilities. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on U.S. facility management expertise with proven project management skills to plan, execute, and deliver facility-related projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Operations:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and vendor management.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA and local codes).
  • Manage facility budgets, expenses, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Project Management:
  • Plan, initiate, and manage facility improvement, renovation, and relocation projects from start to finish.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
• Vendor & Contractor Management:
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise facility staff, custodial teams, and maintenance personnel.
  • Train and mentor team members on safety protocols and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on facility management experience in the United States (required).
• Demonstrated project management experience (managing budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes, OSHA regulations, and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Proficiency in facility management software and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment

• Remote.
• Standard schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Central Time, Monday–Friday.
