Role Description

The Facilities Specialist with a focus on Commercial Restaurant Equipment Repair is responsible for supporting restaurant operations through the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and reliability of critical hot-side and cold-side food service equipment across an assigned market. This role helps ensure equipment uptime, food safety compliance, and uninterrupted restaurant operations while supporting maintenance cost control and asset performance.

• Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and supporting hot side and cold side kitchen equipment used in Quick Service Restaurant operations.
• Ensures equipment reliability, food safety compliance, and uninterrupted restaurant operations across a multi-unit portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 to 5 years of commercial restaurant equipment repair experience, preferably in QSR or food service environments.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, including gas, electric, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, gas schematics, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Manufacturer certifications (Henny Penny, Pitco, Vulcan, Garland, Rational, or equivalent) preferred.
• QSR or multi-unit restaurant experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Corrigo or Service Channel preferred.
• Technical or trade school training in electrical, mechanical, or commercial kitchen equipment repair preferred.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work around hot surfaces, sharp equipment, and moving parts.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work extended periods.
• Ability to access equipment in tight kitchen environments.

• Communicate clearly with restaurant managers regarding repair status and equipment operation.
