[Hiring] Engineering Operations Coordinator @IXOPAY

Role Description

We're looking for an Engineering Operations Coordinator to help drive operational efficiency, alignment, and continuous improvement across IXOPAY's Platform Engineering organization. In this role, you'll bring structure and visibility to the processes that support our engineering teams, including:

• Agile delivery
• Resource planning
• Budget management
• Incident reviews
• Compliance
• Software releases

Working closely with Engineering leadership, team leads, Finance, and Security, you'll help ensure our teams have the information, processes, and operational support they need to work effectively. You'll take ownership of recurring operational activities, improve reporting and documentation, and identify opportunities to automate manual processes.

This is an opportunity to combine strong organizational and analytical skills with meaningful ownership, helping shape how a global engineering organization plans, collaborates, and continuously improves.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Engineering Operations, Technical Program Coordination, Project Management, Business Operations, or a similar role, preferably within a technology or engineering organization.
• Strong experience with Jira, including backlog management, workflows, boards, dashboards, and reporting.
• Experience using Confluence or similar tools to organize and maintain team documentation.
• Experience supporting budget planning, financial tracking, resource allocation, or operational reporting.
• Strong proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.
• Experience creating basic automations using Jira automation, scripting languages such as Python or Bash, or low-code workflow tools.
• Familiarity with software development and delivery processes, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, release management, and incident management.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and translate complex information into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset and an interest in continuously improving how teams operate.

Requirements

• Experience supporting Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or other technical teams.
• Experience coordinating PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar security and compliance audits.
• Experience working in payments, FinTech, SaaS, or another regulated technology environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud infrastructure costs and financial tracking.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum practices, including facilitating team ceremonies and supporting delivery planning.
• Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Grafana, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Scrum Master, project management, or Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, PMP, or CAPM.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days:

• Build an understanding of IXOPAY's Platform Engineering teams, tools, workflows, and operational priorities.
• Establish relationships with Engineering leadership and key cross-functional partners.
• Take ownership of recurring team coordination activities and Jira backlog organization.

First 90 Days:

• Establish a consistent budget tracking and reporting cadence.
• Coordinate quarterly capacity planning and provide clear visibility into team commitments and resource availability.
• Independently coordinate incident post-mortems and track corrective actions through completion.
• Identify initial opportunities to streamline recurring operational processes.

First 6 Months:

• Deliver automated reporting that improves visibility into engineering operations and reduces manual administrative effort.
• Establish a consistent, repeatable process for PCI DSS audit evidence collection and tracking.
• Improve the accuracy, accessibility, and consistency of team documentation.
• Demonstrate measurable improvements in operational efficiency, process consistency, and cross-team coordination.
