[Hiring] E-Commerce Operations Lead @Somewhere

Role Description

The E-Commerce Operations Lead (Amazon, Fulfillment & AI Operations) is responsible for overseeing automated operations, ensuring accountability among various partners, and maintaining operational efficiency during peak seasons.

• Review the AI operations agent’s daily reports, alerts, and drafted work.
• Approve or reject actions before they go live, including Amazon orders, inventory changes, customer emails, and SOP updates.
• Catch errors, provide clear corrections, and track reliability of the AI agent.
• Decide which tasks the agent can run independently and expand that list as trust is earned.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations with the U.S. 3PL warehouse and China dropship partner.
• Manage inbound purchase orders, receiving issues, order holds, and freight pickups.
• Act on stuck or unshipped order alerts and resolve each issue.
• Audit the 3PL’s monthly invoice before payment and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare fulfillment capacity and inbound timing ahead of the October–February peak.
• Create and manage FBA inbound shipments in Seller Central.
• Open, escalate, and follow through on Amazon support cases.
• Resolve listing issues flagged by Amazon and monitor account health metrics.
• Direct the Amazon agency and review the quality of their work.
• Keep battery and hazmat documentation current to maintain live listings.
• Coordinate with testing labs and the Amazon agency on certificates and renewals.
• Manage the Customer Service Manager through weekly KPIs and coaching.
• Review the weekly AI reply accuracy report against the 90% target.
• Manage the part-time sourcing agent across purchase orders, production timelines, and supplier invoices.
• Own the SOP wiki (Slab) and keep procedures accurate and current.
• Join the weekly inventory planning review and make restock recommendations.
• Maintain a weekly KPI tracker and present updates in team meetings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operations for an e-commerce brand.
• Hands-on Amazon Seller Central experience, including FBA inbound shipments and support cases.
• Experience with Shopify and managing a 3PL warehouse relationship.
• Experience managing or overseeing at least one direct report.
• Hands-on experience working with AI in operations.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Clear, structured writing skills.
• Strong spreadsheet skills in Google Sheets or Excel.
• Available 9:00 AM–5:00 PM U.S. Eastern, Monday–Friday.
