Role Description

Be an agent of change on a team committed to achieving client-focused, mission-driven excellence. Steampunk is looking for an experienced Director of Operations with an appetite for taking on new challenges.

• Be responsible and accountable for all the operational delivery across the sector.
• Provide operational support, leadership, and guidance in the current and future operations of the sector.
• Lead a growing team of program, project, and technical leaders in providing best in class IT services.
• Identify and hire the absolute best leadership we can find for our client delivery teams.
• Support, train, and mentor program and project managers for success in the performance of their work.

Qualifications

• An entrepreneurial desire to build a business.
• An informed opinion on what leadership is (and is not).
• A leadership philosophy/methodology.
• Experience collaborating with sales, business development, recruiting, contracts, and finance in the pursuit of new contracts/proposals.
• Experience collaborating with program managers, project managers, and clients to improve the delivery of services and create “client delight.”
• Experience in training and mentorship of project and program managers in the performance of their duties.
• Experience being responsible and accountable for the P&L of your area of responsibility.
• 10+ years of Program and/or Operations Director/VP experience leading federal IT services work across multiple agencies/components.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance.

Benefits

• The projected compensation range for this position is $180,000 to $250,000.
