Role Description

Farmlink is at a pivotal moment. What began in 2020 as a group of students building relationships with farmers has grown into a national food rescue organization that has moved more than 500 million pounds of donated, surplus food.

• Runs two food recovery programs: post-harvest and pre-harvest.
• Post-harvest rescue delivers nearly 150 million pounds of food a year to communities in need.
• Pre-harvest recovery is still in pilot phase, aiming to close the gap in on-farm surplus recovery.
• Focus on partnerships for harvest labor, packaging, cold storage, and transport to reduce costs.
• Chief Operating Officer will oversee the operational network and drive impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Seasoned executive leader with experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics.
• Ability to execute on network outcomes and adapt based on data.

Requirements

• Experience in scaling operational models.
• Background in complex operational environments with exposure to perishable goods.
• Strong negotiation and deal-making skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision making.
• Low-ego, high-EQ leadership style.
• Comfortable in a remote-first, asset-light operation.
• Based full-time in the USA with willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
