Role Description

We have released a groundbreaking virtual GP service that supports over 250,000 overseas students studying in Australia, as part of Medibank’s Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) program.

As a key member of this innovative service, you'll have the chance to provide high-quality, virtual healthcare to a diverse patient base. This is a privately billed service, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent care with patient satisfaction as a top priority.

• Comfortable providing care virtually
• Managing a cohort of dynamic patients, including those with non-English speaking backgrounds
• Commitment to complete a minimum of 8 hours per week
• Overnight shift from Midnight - 4am on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Hourly rate of $200 per hour including super
• Flexible shift times and support for other clinical work
• Support for child and family commitments
• Opportunity for GPs wanting to transition to retirement or undertake more straightforward episodic care
• Initial engagement as a Casual Contingent Contractor with competitive hourly shift rates
• Ongoing support from Principal GPs and experienced Practice Manager

Qualifications

• Qualified Medical Practitioner with full AHPRA registration
• FRACGP preferred
• Fluency in languages other than English is a plus
• Significant experience in the use of GP patient management software
• Good level of IT literacy
• Comfortable conducting clinical assessments virtually
• Able to collaborate with the wider team through digital tools and collaborative software such as MS Teams
