[Hiring] Transfer Registered Nurse @Voyages Behavioral Health of Conroe

Role Description

This position is responsible for providing high quality, prompt assistance with triaging and coordination of transfers from other facilities. The transfer center nurse:

• Monitors and responds to triage needs.
• Completes direct referral acceptance process.
• Uses technology as a platform for reviewing patient’s clinical needs.
• Delivers prompt communication of acceptance or deflection.
• Collaborates and works closely with referral sources, physicians, nurses, etc.

The Transfer Center nurse reports and is accountable to the Director of Assessment and Referral for Voyages. This is a non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• RN Licensure required in the state of Texas or compact license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English required.
• Crisis Management Certification per hospital policy and standards required.
• ACLS within 90 days of date of hire required.
• Previous experience in behavioral health and substance use field preferred.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• May be required to work flexible hours.
• Position may be facility-based or remote.
• Shifts will vary to support this 24/7 department; will include day and overnight coverage.

Requirements

• Must have RN Licensure in Texas or compact license.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must have Crisis Management Certification.
• Must obtain ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
