Role Description
You will be the first clinical experience many of our patients have with Mira Mace, and you set the tone for everything that follows in their care.
-
30-minute new-patient telehealth visits with Medicare patients, mostly by video (phone when the patient can't connect).
-
Working from the up-to-date medical records we provide: history, medication review, assessment, care plan, orders and referrals, including durable medical equipment when indicated.
-
Each month, review the care plans and logged hours of your patients' care advocates, and provide the clinical oversight that keeps each patient's health and social situation moving in the right direction.
-
Our care team books patients onto your calendar and helps them connect before the visit.
-
Documentation in our EHR (Healthie) with templates built for this visit.
-
No call, nights or weekends. You choose a weekly block (MonβFri, US daytime) and keep it.
Qualifications
-
MD or DO, board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine.
-
Active, unrestricted medical license(s) in the US; the more states the better.
-
Licensure in North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Illinois or Ohio is strongly preferred.
-
Licensure in Texas, Florida, California or Georgia is also preferred.
-
IMLC eligibility is a plus.
-
A clean record: no disciplinary or reprimand actions against your license, not opted out of Medicare, no exclusions.
-
Already enrolled in Medicare (PECOS) is a plus; if not, we enroll you.
-
3+ years post-residency; telehealth experience preferred.
Requirements
-
Patience and empathy; our patients are older and often vulnerable.
-
A reliable remote setup: strong internet, a quiet, professional space, and a computer with a camera.
Benefits
-
$120 per hour as an independent contractor (1099); hours paid in two payments each month.
-
At least 10 committed hours per week (15β20 preferred), set with you each week based on patient demand.
-
Malpractice coverage provided for Mira Mace visits.
-
We handle credentialing and payer enrollment (about 5 weeks).
Timeline
-
Applications reviewed daily; we aim to interview within a week of your application.
-
Credentialing and payer enrollment take about 5 weeks after you sign; then you start seeing patients.
