Role Description

As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

• Directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans.
• Meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images.
• Monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Select and examine images for pathologies and present preliminary findings to Physicians.
• Assess patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures.
• Provide a clear explanation of the procedure including duration, process, and what to expect following completion.
• Provide patient education as appropriate.
• Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Select proper equipment, setting correct technical factors, procedure protocols, and gathering proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure.
• Obtain clear and complete history from the patient and/or patient record and record that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
• Perform quality assessment of images obtained and evaluate equipment issues, escalating concerns as indicated.

$9,000 Sign on Bonus paid out over 2 years of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• ARDMS board certification within 6 months of hire.
• 6-9 months of ultrasound experience preferred.
