Role Description
Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) is seeking a Social Services Administrative Coordinator to support the Office of MaineCare Services' Complex Case Unit (CCU) in Augusta, Maine. We are looking for candidates with a strong medical or healthcare-related background who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires detailed documentation and information gathering.
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience with healthcare programs is helpful, but a medical background and documentation experience are more critical to success in this role.
In this role, you will provide critical administrative and technical support to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping individuals access services and resources that improve their quality of life. As a Social Services Administrative Coordinator, you will:

Provide administrative and technical support to the Complex Case Unit.

Attend meetings, capture detailed meeting minutes, and track action items.

Coordinate correspondence and communicate with internal and external stakeholders by phone and email.

Research and verify member information using MaineCare eligibility and claims systems.

Document findings and support timely resolution of inquiries and case-related issues.

Develop and improve administrative processes and procedures to enhance team efficiency.

Research complex and sensitive issues and prepare reports, spreadsheets, and tracking tools.

Respond professionally to inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.

Gather information about healthcare providers, community resources, and service availability to support care coordination efforts.

Collaborate with team members and external partners to support positive outcomes for MaineCare members.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Four (4) years of combined education and/or experience in:

Administrative support
-
Healthcare administration
-
Medical eligibility programs
-
Care management
-
Behavioral health
-
Human services
-
Related fields
-
Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Strong typing skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while working effectively within a team environment.

Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree (preferred).

Experience with MaineCare, Medicaid, healthcare programs, or care coordination (preferred).

Experience working within government, healthcare, or social service environments (preferred).

Familiarity with healthcare terminology, disability services, and community-based resources (preferred).
