Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift between 8:00am – 5pm local time with rotating Saturdays & holidays.
• Flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Become knowledgeable with our process to best support our members.
• Expected to meet departments production, quality, and success rate standards.
• Work independently and as a team player to achieve individual and departmental goals.
• Make outbound calls to collect clinical information for Medicare Part D Appeal Requests.
• Excellent oral and communication skills.
• Work efficiently to meet case deadlines.
• Model attendance and schedule adherence habits.
• Ability to remain focused and productive with little supervision.
• Eager to learn to work in many Windows-based applications and other complex systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in your state of residence OR National Certification (PTCB).
• 3+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift between 8:00am – 5pm local time, with rotating Saturdays & holidays.

Requirements

• Previous prior Authorization experience (preferred).
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, hospital, specialty pharmacy (preferred).
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (preferred).
• All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
