Role Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a pivotal role in patient care by emphasizing excellence, compassion, and evidence-based practice. This role supports the UAMS Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Outpatient Clinics in Northwest Arkansas. Primary responsibilities include:

• Direct patient care
• Triage
• Coordination and collaboration with providers, patients, and families
• Facilitating appointments and coordinating transitions of care
• Obtaining medical clearances
• Providing education on complex conditions
• Developing and implementing individualized health plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master’s degree in Nursing
• Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program
• Valid Registered Nursing License
• Minimum of one (1) year of Registered Nursing experience
• Basic computer skills
• Effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when necessary
• Strong work ethic and accountability
• BLS Current

Requirements

• Orthopaedic experience a plus
• EPIC experience
