Role Description

We are currently hiring a Registered Dietitian licensed in multiple provinces in Canada with direct experience in obesity management and weight-focused counselling.

This is not a general clinical dietitian role. We are specifically looking for a dietitian with hands-on experience in:

• Obesity and metabolic health management
• Weight-focused counselling
• Behaviour change and lifestyle interventions
• GLP-1–supported nutrition therapy (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.)
• Long-term weight maintenance strategies

You will work virtually with patients enrolled in structured medical weight management programs, collaborating closely with prescribing clinicians.

What You'll Do

• Conduct virtual nutrition assessments and follow-ups
• Develop individualized weight management plans
• Provide structured counselling focused on sustainable fat loss and metabolic improvement
• Support patients using GLP-1 medications
• Address plateaus, adherence challenges, and behavioural barriers
• Document encounters in our EMR
• Collaborate with our clinical team to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
• Direct experience in obesity management and weight counselling
• Strong behavioural counselling skills
• Experience supporting patients with overweight/obesity as a primary focus of practice
• Comfortable working in a virtual care environment
• Professional liability insurance

Requirements

• This role is best suited for dietitians whose primary practice focus has been outpatient obesity and weight management counselling.

Asset

• Licensure in BC, Alberta, and/or Quebec
• Experience with virtual care platforms
• Familiarity with GLP-1 medications
• Experience in private practice or structured weight programs
